ENGHOFF, H. Dolichoiulus
a mostly Macaronesian multitude of millipedes. With a description of a related new genus from Tenerife, Canary Islands (Diplopoda, Julida, Julidae). 1992. 158 pp. SEK 225.

Abstract:
The genus is revised and found to include 56 species, most of which are endemic to the Macaronesian islands. Nearly all species are confined to a single island. A few species are endemic to continental west Mediterranean areas. A cladistic analysis of the species is presented, using both manual approach and the computer program Hennig86. The position of the genus within the subfamily Pachyiulinae is discussed, particularly in relation to Amblyiulus Silvestri, 1896, Japanoiulus Verhoeff, 1937, Afropachyiulus Schubart, 1960, Mesoiulus Berlese, 1886 and the n. gen. Keys and distribution maps are given. Fourtyone new species are described
