SAETHER, O. A. Orthocladiinae (Diptera: Chironomidae) from the British West Indies, with descriptions of Antillocladius n.gen., Lipurometriocnemus n.gen., Compterosmittia n.gen. and Diplosmittia n.gen. 1981. 46pp. SEK 40.

Abstract.
Four new genera and 12 new species are described. The orthoclad fauna appears to be circum-Carribean with strong evidence of Nearctic and Ethiopean descendant biotas and local endemicity. It shows closer affinities with African territories than with South American ones.

ASHE, P.: A catalogue of chironomid genera and subgenera of
the world including synonyms (Diptera: Chironomidae). 1983. 68 pp. SEK 80.

Abstract:
Basic information such as author, date, type-species, etc. of all genus-group names of the family Chironomidae is given. Of 524 propsed, recent genus-group names 355 are valid. In addition 23 fossil genera are included. Notes on taxonomic or other problems associated with particular genus-group names are given under the relevant genus or subgenus. 20 new synonymies are established, 13 genus-group names are treated as nomina dubia and 3 lectotypes are designated.

ENGHOFF, H.: The milliped genus Cylindroiulus on Madeiraan insular species swarm (Diplopoda, Julida: Julidae). 1982. 142 pp. SEK 104.

Abstract:
25 endemic species from Madeira are treated, intra- and inter-specific morphology diversity is described and analyzed with graphical and statistical methods, incl. a principal components analysis of segment numbers and podomere measurements. To a limited degree, differences in morphology are functionally interpreted. The development of sexual maturity is analyzed in terms of stadial number, number of podous segments and body diameter. The systematic position of the madeirae-group and the interrelationships of the species within the group are discussed from a cladistic point of view.
